We’ve been through all the mages and obstacles in our life as we act as a teenager in our community. We’ve passed all the minor and major difficulties a student must walk through. And now, being an individual who belongs to the “public service”, and who acts efficiently and effectively as little public servant even in a short period of time, we’ve finally figured out the PUBLIC SERVICE is no time for wasting our resources, instead conserve it to be more useful and functional as our economy and environment make it’s step through it’s anticipated progress.
Within a 7-day temporary public service, we’ve already knew why politics never did run smooth. –that idealism is the main factor that makes every each personality a contrast of every decision made. We’ve also learned that to be a good and functional leader of our country, YOU must learn first how to follow. WE, the youth should put into our minds that We Could Make Change.- that with this two hands that we have, we could change into something new but yet still beneficial to you, to us and to our beloved country.
AN AWESOME DAY!!!
We never thought that our second day of stay here in the municipal hall will be this fun and fruitful. Everything that we had done was full of information and worth spending time for. As a part of this day’s activity, we got involved in the session of the Sangguniang Bayan (SB) members in the morning, while in the afternoon, a seminar regarding media awareness.
During the session, we sat beside our counterparts and play their respective duties as coucilors, ABC chairman, secretary and vice mayor. We got nervous at first but as time goes, we enjoyed speaking infront of the honorables. The session tackled different issues like the irrigation canal in Brgy. Tala the resolution authored by Hon. Lauro Suñiga and also our ownmade resolutions about the thanksgiving to our school in response to the youth week program. We really acted as the real officials until it was ended which we will treasure so much.
The next activity was also a meaningful one which was about the media awareness led by the SPC mass communication sudents and their professor. The whole presentation taught us how media affects the lives of the people in the community as well as its good and evil side. They also told us to be aware on the music that we’re listening to and how to interpret a movie or a film. As closing remarks, they had clarify that media is not just for entertainment but also to inform people.
The whole day indeed gave us outpouring knowledge that we may apply in real life. We are very thankful to them for sharing such things.

A Trip with Sweat and an Art to Make
The plan has been made and our feet are itching to walk in a journey but the weather did not come with us. The sky is filled with watery clouds and droplets fall from it.
We’re ready to go to Parang and we are just waiting for the plants for our tree planting. We fired out at 7:30 am.
As we go up, the camera goes on clicking. Almost every meter, we are having that “compress and pose”. A few meters away from the top, we felt the tiredness added by the rain fall. Some of us get their umbrellas and some get “gabi” leaves for the protection.
The cemented road ends and it is the star of the rocky road. We had a stop over outside a nipa house and waited for the rain to stop. Though Kuya Allan decided to end the trail without getting to the top of Parang, we are proud that we had helped the nature by planting trees.
Going home was fast and picture taking is still present. We came down at 10:30 am. Kuya Allan assigned us to bring art materials for the poster making activity in the afternoon.
In the municipal building, we’re making ready. There are some lectures about what we should do before the activity. Kuya Allan showed us the music video of Michael Jackson’s “Man in the Mirror.”
Our theme for the poster is “Make That Change.” We made a flag of the
Along the whole day sweat had been dropped for a good cost and cooperation is attained from all of us.
GREAT TIME WITH…..
(CLOSING PROGRAMME)
And now the time has come that we have to say goodbye. For a wonderful, adventurous and fruitful experience we had in the municipal hall. It’s been a short time yet its been too long for us because we had a great, great time worth spending. We would treasure all the moments and the memories we had.
Our closing program becomes so organized from start ‘til end. It is of course with the help of the guest speakers that accept our invitation.
It starts with an invocation from our Girl Vice Mayor Rina Joy M. Pumar; followed by Charisse Verallo to sing our National Anthem. With his opening remarks Mr.Raymart U. Alcos, Sk Federation President gave his truthful message to the next leaders of our municipality or maybe our country. For the audience anjoyment, Charisse Verallo and Alvin Salamat showed their amazing talent in singing. After their performance, our Hon. Mayor Rolen I. Urriquia gave an inspirational message. To make the ceremony more enjoying, Danzell Consul, April Lie Encila and Arjay Borja showed off their amazing number. The program ends with an inspirational message from our Hon. Vice Mayor Antonino Aurelio it is very inspiring for us to hear the voice of all the and with a speech from our Girl Mayor Vera Lyn S. Hugo.
As the program ends, we had a great time because there is a secret concert and we really treasured everytime because it is the last day we had. It hits us to the core to say goodbye but we have too because everything really must come to an end.

An open letter:
